    The Arc of Nevada’s Early Intervention Program seeks Occupational Therapists for hourly contract work to provide direct therapy to children birth to three in their homes while coaching parents on ways to improve their child’s development. Possibility for position to become part-time or full-time salaried as caseload numbers grow.

    POSITION SUMMARY:  To provide Occupational Therapy services to children with motor delays and/or sensory processing difficulties while following Early Intervention guidelines for quality and compliance with State and Federal rules.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Provides evaluations and ongoing assessments as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and provides trainings for staff and/or families;
    • Provides occupational therapy services to infants/toddlers ages 0-3 who have motor delays and/or sensory processing difficulties in the home or other natural environment;
    • Responsible for completion of timely documentation including progress notes, reports, and Medicaid authorizations;
    • Communicates effectively with families, members of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) team, and other health care providers regarding diagnosis and therapy;
    • Maintains punctual and dependable scheduled visits and communication with IFSP team;
    • Participates in the development of the IFSP and makes recommendations to the overall care plan for the family.

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

    • Applicant must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
    • Applicant must possess and maintain Nevada licensure as an OT.
    • Applicant must have at least one year of pediatric client services experience.
    • Applicant must have basic computer literacy and ability to effectively learn new software programs.
    • Applicant should be proficient in SOAP/DAP documentation skills.
    • Applicant must have a Valid Driver’s License and access to your own transportation.
    • Applicant must be able to successfully pass an onboarding clearance process.
    • Feeding Therapy experience a bonus.

    The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor-in-Residence in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program, Department of Brain Health, School of Integrated Health Sciences.

    ROLE of the POSITION

    The UNLV School of Integrated Health Sciences, Department of Brain Health is accepting applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor-in-Residence in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program. This position is a teaching position with significant responsibility for the occupations and research component of the curricular sequence. The Assistant/Associate Professor-in-Residence is a non-tenure-track position on a 9-month appointment in the Occupational Therapy Program. Primary responsibilities for this position include doctoral level teaching, mentoring capstone projects, scholarship, and participation in university, professional, and department service activities. The successful candidate is expected to meet University criteria related to research, teaching, and service and be comfortable engaging community partners and partnerships.

    Anticipated start date will be January 1, 2025.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    This position requires a post-professional doctoral degree, PhD, ScD, EdD or similar degree in a health-related field, such as Rehabilitation Science, Occupational Therapy, Occupational Science, etc. The degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university, and the candidate eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Nevada. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

    The candidate must have at least two (2) years clinical practice and at least two (2) years academic teaching experience, with graduate teaching experience preferred.

    The new Occupational Therapy Doctoral (OTD) Program in the College of Health Sciences at Utah Tech University in St. George, Utah, seeks a doctoral-prepared occupational therapist to join an innovative team of instructors within the University's new Occupational Therapy program, in compliance with ACOTE educational standards. The successful candidate will develop and teach graduate-level occupational therapy courses, with priority selection given to those applicants with expertise in mental health, children and youth, adult, or older adult practice experience.     The University of the Pacific Occupational Therapy Department has a goal of creating a dedicated team of educators capable of engaging and encouraging our students to successfully explore and interpret the diverse perspectives of the communities we serve.

    Our program welcomes qualified candidates with demonstrated success in working with diverse populations to apply for a fulltime, core-faculty, 11-month, non-tenure track Doctoral Capstone Coordinator faculty position for its entry-level Doctorate in Occupational Therapy program, which is housed and delivered on the Sacramento campus.

    Qualified applicants will ensure academic quality and develop course content from an occupational perspective and delivery in a positive educational environment. The successful applicant is expected to establish a collaborative scholarship agenda as well as contribute to graduate mentoring that supports diversity and inclusion efforts.

    The doctoral capstone coordinator will:

    ·        Work closely with the student and the faculty advisor and a community advisor in developing an individual plan to integrate new knowledge gained in OTD courses into their project. 
    ·        Implement a project that is mutually beneficial to the community setting and the advancement of the profession.
    ·       This is a faculty position with teaching, scholarship, advisement, and service responsibilities in addition to the administration of clinical education (50% administration/release time)
    ·        Formulate a plan that is designed to be more programmatic rather than an intervention plan that will be done on Fieldwork Level II.
    ·        Through the Capstone project, the student will demonstrate his/her understanding of advanced Occupational Therapy concepts and the ability to demonstrate leadership and knowledge and ethical practice at the highest level.
    ·        The capstone provides the student with an opportunity to demonstrate knowledge translation as an innovative leader, scholar, and practitioner at the doctoral level.
    ·        The Doctoral Experiential Internship must be completed within a setting that supports the fulfillment of the capstone project within the setting engaging in activities related to the focus of the project.

    Minimum Qualifications

    ·        Post-professional doctoral degree awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE-recognized regional accrediting body.
    ·        Initially certified occupational therapist and licensed or eligible for license by the California Board for Occupational Therapy
    ·        Two years of clinical practice experience as an occupational therapist.
    ·        Documented experience in an area of teaching responsibility and knowledge of content delivery method (e.g. documentation of continuing professional development, relevant experience, faculty development plan reflecting acquisition of new content, incorporation of feedback from course evaluations).
    ·        Expertise necessary to ensure appropriate curriculum design, content delivery, and program evaluation.

    Preferred Qualifications

    ·        Experience as an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and/or Doctoral Capstone Coordinator.
    ·        Experience with curriculum design, content delivery, and program evaluation.
    ·        Projects professionalism for the University in all communication and interaction.
    ·        Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of sensitive data.
    ·        Ability to prioritize and organize numerous and varied assignments.
    ·        High-energy, versatile, self-directed.

    Join Theraplay Solutions as an occupational therapist! We are looking to add an OT to our growing team. 

    Responsibilities
    Flexibility to schedule your own visits (Yes, you can work other jobs/PRNs along with this job!) as long as the established frequency (typically 1-2x a month 45-minute home visit) for each client is met within each month within the client's natural environment (home, daycare/school, community park, grocery store, etc.), parent/family education and coaching model, complete ongoing assessments/re-evals using pediatric assessments (Peabody, DAYC-2, HELP, etc. we can train you, if you haven't had experience using them), established family-centered goals (STG/LTG) and strategies to embed within natural and daily routines for the child and family, and user-friendly electronic documentation/EMR and charting system.

    Qualifications
    Previous experience in pediatrics is preferred but not required. Active Nevada OT/PT license, must complete background check (paid by company). Please submit a professional curriculum vitae.

    Additional Information
    This is a 1099 contractor position (initially), however there is also room to grow into part-time and full-time salary positions with benefits. You work as much or as little as you want, but we have various options for growth within the company.
