On March 28th, 19 passionate occupational therapy students and practitioners from across Nevada gathered for NOTA’s 2025 Hill Day — a full day of connection, advocacy, and empowerment at the state capitol. Participants engaged in legislative meetings with Assembly members and State Senators, tabled in the Capitol lobby to raise awareness of OT, and learned more about how advocacy efforts can shape state policy. The energy of the day left participants feeling very optimistic about the future recognition and impact of OT in Nevada. Many left inspired to stay involved and advocate for policies that support the profession and the communities we serve.
