The Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is seeking a dynamic, clinically-focused faculty member to join our interdisciplinary department as a full time academic fieldwork coordinator (AFWC) and clinical faculty member. This is a 12-month appointment starting in the fall of 2019.  The AFWC position will lead all aspects of the fieldwork placements for our occupational therapy students, and will also have limited teaching duties. A clinical faculty member who is experienced in fieldwork coordination will assist the AFWC.

Required:  • A completed doctorate (e.g., OTD, PhD, EdD) • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Illinois  • Three years of clinical experience as a registered occupational therapist  • Experience teaching or mentoring students in a professional academic program or as a clinical fieldwork educator • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills • Commitment to clinical education
 
Preferred:  • Previous experience as an academic fieldwork coordinator • Managerial or supervisory experience • Record of applied scholarship • Record of community and/or professional service • Record of supervising OTD student projects as chair or committee member
