Our Motivational Interviewing Workshop Series continues into 2022.

Thank you to those who attended previous sessions.

One free CEU is provided per session for NOTA Members. 

Cost for Non Members to attend is $10.

The sessions are one hour long and will contain a very brief overview of the previous session.  A significant amount of the workshop is dedicated to practice of the MI skills in breakout rooms with feedback and summary provided.

        Tues, May 24th @ 6:00 PM: Putting it all together: MI in OT practice

Facilitator Bio:

John (Johnny) Rider is an assistant professor at Touro University Nevada and works as a community-based occupational therapist for Good Life Therapy, LLC. In addition to being an OT, Johnny is a father of 5 children, an aspiring woodworker, avid hiker, and a certified American Sign Language Interpreter. His PhD is in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences with an emphasis in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His OT experience includes school systems, early intervention, inpatient and outpatient rehab, primary care, and home health and hospice. His research and advocacy efforts revolve around chronic disease management with an emphasis on neurodegenerative diseases and persistent pain.
